Donated 30 francs to Regimental & Kings Colors for Bn. & 30 for Mess fees.

6th
Rode to Fourmies  and Wyhgnies [possibly Wignehies]  with Dick Swinburne - met the Americans we had previously met (Mechanic Roy Lindsay) coming to visit me in his car. He had his officer with him. I invited them to afternoon tea on Sunday (8th).

7th
Lectured to Bn. on Historical Connection between England & France.

Led Debate - 13th versus 15th Bn. "That Australia should have Unification - A keen debate  - 15th Bn won.
