Tuesday 12/9/16 Pte Jackson awarded V.C. for work during raid. Went around trenches with Smith of 2nd in C 23rd Battalion – letter from Doff
Wednesday 13/9/16 Beurs slightly wounded & evacuated – on board of Enquiry re man shooting himself in foot (accident)
Thursday 14/9/16 Relieved by 23rd Battalion Battalion billets at Barracks Hdqrs at Ramparts
Friday 15/9/16 Went to Div. Hdq at Reninghelst on Board of Enquiry – dined at Mess & returned by Car at 10 pm. Saw General – had letter from Doff.
Saturday 16/9/16 Wrote to Doff. Quiet day otherwise got cheque from Smith for cash for Tailor
