On Xmas eve we left Boulogne by train. The day was cold so we as there were only three of us we constructed a stove in the carriage. We arrived at Cambrai early on Xmas morning & breakfasted at the club. After this we set out for Catellon, & were lucky enough to secure a French lorry to Caudry. It was a beautiful morning, bright & frosty. Our next left was to Le Cateau & here we had our Xmas dinner of bread & butter at the corner of the street on the road to Cantillon.
