Not quite so dull at Katia yesterday. The officer of the patrol left out there was killed & we made a very cautious entry into the palms there. The Turks advanced slowly on us all day from the NE in a semicircle to the S.W. Six wounded only one badly finally at dusk just as the turks got within shot of our bivouac we slipped out and came home.

Things are beginning to hum now not so much on land, here the position remains much as it was €“ as in the air: also a new element
