My dear Ferguson
I had heard you sent some of that letter and very glad to have it. Isn't it inspiring to see how more boys could give their impressions, spite of restrains on expression for their country's sake, in living words? Surely they are not lost to us. I think of them with admiration that does me moral good every day of my life, and that must be true of many more less worthy than they who live on. They must go on speaking to all who knew them or even just saw their letters
