"Informant knew Ferguson who was in his Company. He was a son of Judge Ferguson.
Informant heard from Sergeant Montgomery – of the 20th.Battalion, "B" Company , who returned here 12th August, 1916, and lived in Bathurst, that Ferguson had been killed.
Ferguson was a splendid Officer, and no one could wish for a better man – and was liked by everyone. He was a real genetleman, and would do anything for his men
