<p>[Page 119]</p><p>Of all the kiosks and huts in Trial Bay, as well as the vegetable garden, we were not allowed to sell anything; the Australian government even owed the camp &nbsp;&pound;300 worth of rations&nbsp;</p><p>24th of June, 1918. There is a lot of feverish commotion in the camp because of constant rumours that we are to be exchanged. Negotiations about the exchange of prisoners are in full swing in The Hague, and we have reasonable hope to be included [in such a program] but it may well take some time. 700 men are to be shipped home in the foreseeable future. The barracks in the new camp are almost finished, but they have stopped work on it, presumably over a dispute</p>
