21/9/16 Thursday
Nice day. Got a parcel from Mrs O'Kelly. Got letters from Ammi, Eileen, Frank, Aunty Lyons, Mrs O'Kelly & J. Hagan. On Gas Picquet night & day.
22/9/16 Friday
Nice day. Went down for some ashes for filling up around the Camp. Very Cold. Went to evening devotions at the Church.
23/9/16 Saturday
Nice day. Got orders to pack up & be ready – Finished up by taking over Aid Post at "Rifle Villa" – at last some of us are with our own brigade – few calls during the night. Most comfortable post we have been in yet.
Sunday 24/9/16
Nice day. Lively trench warfare – Fritz putting them in freely to V.V. Sap. Very few casualtys.
Monday 25/9/16
Nice day – Fairly quiet – Very little sleep last night. Aeroplanes busy.
26/9/16 Tuesday
Nice day. Have a nasty cut in my hand, two stiches. Very quiet.
