Clarendon
10th April 1822
My dear Thomas
I had hoped I should long
ere this have seen you to talk
over old affairs and congratulate
each other on our once more meeting
after so long an absence. On
my return from Bathurst I
had the pleasure of receiving
a letter from you which was
written in England tho' it did
set sea at this Country before
yourself — The disappointment
was great both to Henry and
myself at missing you
when we last went to Sydney
Your mother no doubt told you
we called in the hope of finding
you at Home — I think it
