Senior Constable Robert Quayle reports that Merriwa in the
Kerrabee district flat piece of Country surrounded by hills a
river of the same name runs through it. In former days it was 
the favourite camping ground of the Aboriginies of the district
on account of the abundance of fish, seed for grinding and game
