This Society, which was formed amongst other things for collecting
all that is obtainable concerning the Aboriginies, solicits your
assistance in making a collection of the Native Names of places
with their meanings or the reason why the blacks gave such names
to the several localities (see example). No doubt some of the old
residents in your district will be able to assist you.
