<p>[Page 106]</p><p>Salary of £1/12/- on 19th/10/17</p><p>Trial Bay, October 23, 1917.<br />From Lloyd I received £1/-/- for the month of December.</p><p>Today we inaugurated the engineers school for a 1st form class with a little celebration. The director of the school is Dr Pupke (from the German-Australian Steamship Company), the teachers are Messrs Klock, Dr Defregger, Dr Jacob, Engineer Mewes, Engineer Butzmühlen, Engineer Loeblein and ship's engineer Zinnius. Eleven gentlemen will attend the class plus 6 will sit in for some lectures. Fittig, Maskow, Macfarlane, E. Meier, Conrad H. Bade, J. Jessen, Stehl, Aden, H. Hegerhorst, J. Meentzen. Those sitting in are: C. Baur, F. Meier, Mencke, A. Schlesinger, H. Martens.
