make his election but fortunately points out Mount Taurus as a place to chose himself.  Mount Taurus is situated in the Center of the Forest of the Wild cattle on the West side of the Nepean & the space of Ground he was to occupy would have included the only Lagoon of Fresh Water that this Valuable resource has access to in the Summer.  How far back Camden may have adverted to or been informed of this Circumstance I cannot say, as such a concession would have been rather more or less than giving the proprietor of that Ground a future Claim of all those Cattle.  On talking over the Matter with M.A. it is agreed to let the Cowpastures remain until Lord Camden is informed of the Circumstance of its being the Forest of the Wild Cattle - on this subject I shall advise his Lordship particularly as all my former letters to his Lordships predecessors have pointed out the inexpediency of [indecipherable] any friend on the West side of the Nepean at Present.  However by His Lordships pleasure I shall of Course be Guided.  In this Circumstance I am not so much interested myself as Government as I have given up all my Claim in Consequence of Admiral Phillips direction to me of his protection of these Cattle for a Certain Number of fine Cattle not the tenth of those that are held.
