is Wool or said to be so but fair to begin with the Hero of the Fleece.  After every thing that is hoped you may readily conceive that his arrival (altho long expected) and the manner he has to be received caused a little sensation & consideration however by the first Boat, I was informed that he had a Letter from my lord Camden to deliver to me himself, he was after waited on me & gave me a polite & highly satisfactory Private time that Worthy Noble man, pointing out his Wish that as M.A. was no longer a Military Man that mighty myth be settled & on appearance of his Support, such an Communication was not to be disregarded by me, & whether right or wrong the Noble advisors Notices were if so Reasonable & Public Spirited a Nature that I offered M A my hand who very gratefully received it & he is now Farmer, Shipowner &c Mc A  - so much for our Meeting after Four Years I was firmer - And incertitude.

Respecting Government occupying itself with the Fine Wooled Sheep I have never given it a thought.  While I have done all in my power to promote & encourage it that Object among Individuals - As the flock of Government is more particularly appropriated to the purpose of furnishing settlers, than any systematic plan of improving either the breed or the Wool (altho' these objects in the Selection & rearing of Rams & Ewes is not disregarded), I am not desirous of Government checking the exertions of Individuals
