Wrote to Mrs Pugh & T. Kilpatrick also 64 home

[Oct. 18]

On duty from 4 AM till 8 AM, I went out about 6 PM to try & shoot a duck, had 3 shots & missed every time, it is a bit cold today & raining, I saw about 20 officers of 7th London come in to day to see the trenches.  Every thing is very quiet here & we are sorry that we are leaving soon.  We are a lovely home in cellar of King Alberts shooting box. 2½ miles from Ypres.
