[March 3]

Early parade from 6.45 to 7.30 after breakfast we had no parade on account of the wind & dust, which was something cruel.  After dinner we went on a swimming parade in the Suez Canal.  A lot of soldier there before & after tea every body were seeking for water, we had our daily issue about ¾ of a pint per man.  Found a tank & got a bottle full at night.  How precious it was.
