[Aug. 21]

We did a little signalling in the morning, & we fell in down at BN. H.Q. sigs.  Allan & me set off for another walk to Flexecourt, it is a lovely walk & lovely country.   Had lovely fed of eggs & bread.  We were a bit tired, things are pretty quiet & we expect to leave here soon for the firing line.  Our BN O.C. left tonight, he is going to England & Australia (Col Tylney [Tilney]), he is getting old, & the last trip in the trenches shook him up very much.
