Limitation is Placd, may not the time of our reaching it be very nearly at hand, & will not the Consequence of Exceeding it, be the bursting at once of the immence [immense] bubble of Credit by which the Prosperity of this Country is at Present buoyed up, Should when Prices Can no longer increase the effect consequence must be a sudden gradual return to the ancient prices rates of Commodities & Who Can estimate the consequence extent of the Scene of misery that would must ensue, or the Fatal Consequence of that must arise From a sudden Defelection [Deflection] of Public as well as Private Revenue, to the Extent that must then take place
That the Issue of Circulating medium by private individuals ought to be wholly & intirely abolishd, is a Self Evident Position, but it is also as Plain that it is impossible at once to Eradicate an Evil that has taken so deep a Root & Spread its branches so widely abroad and also that it would nor would it be impolite to Effect attempt suddenly so great a Change, Even if it were possible to Effect it Succeed, Bold & Effectual measures however, Calculated to Diminish in the First instance & in time wholly to destroy the growing evil, are what the Public
