by the intervention of the Countrey Banker Tenants are Enabled to pay their Rent Regularly, without incurring the necessity of Selling their Produce when it does not bear an advantageous Price, he Lends them the money they have occasion for in his notes, which bear 5 Perct interest tho they Cost him not a Farthing; in this Part of his Business the Lending Banker may be Considerd as a Discounter, who discounts Ricks of Corn, Flocks of Sheep, & Herds of Cattle somewhat in the manner that as the Bank of England discounts accepted Bills.

The buying Banker is of another & much more modern origin he is a merchant who deals in Corn Wool Timber & all other transportable Products of
