Sergt. Bradley xreports: - The No. 5. or Newtown PoliceDivision comprises 18 municipalities andof these Kogarah is the only one whereaboriginal names are used. The appended list is taken fromthat locality and strange though it mayappear the Sergt. has failed to obtainthe meaning or derivations of some of the words. Black Albert an aboriginal in the employ of Mr. Peter Baalman of** Sans Souci has been carefully questionedbut very little could be got from him. Dr. Carroll the founder of the Anthro.pological Society resides at Sans Souciand no doubt is well acquainted withthe names the Sergt. has collected andthe difficulty of obtaining their rightderivations.
