I slept in the open of my half built new dugout

[July 10]

We are quite used to get a few shells over here.  I was busy building my dugout this morning when I received word that there was a parcel at the PO for me from my Aunt Liz, which I enjoyed a treat.  I had not much pleasure at tea because there was too much shrapnel.  Half of our Coy left tonight releaved by the 29th BN.  We had a fairly quiet night.
