Still in our rough trenches about 300 yds from the Germans there is very little fighting, it is nearly all artillery, we cannot do anything only wait for the Germans & run the risk of stopping a shell or bomb.  We are well covered with guns & I sleep contentedly because I feel quite safe.  Not many men in our trenches, which looks strange.
