An Act to enlarge the powers conferred by, and amend, the 
   "Vine Diseases Act, 1886." [Assented to, 22nd June, 1888.]

WHEREAS it is desirable to give certain powers which they do (Preamble) not now possess to the Board appointed under the   "Vine Diseases Act, 1886," and also to amend the said Act in certain respects ; Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:––

  1. This Act may be cited as the "Vine Diseases Act Amend-(Short title and construction.) ment Act of 1888" ; and the expressions used in it shall bear the same meanings respectively as are attributed to them in the "Vine Diseases Act 1886," herein termed the "Principal Act."
  2. The Board, or any person by them authorized in writing, (Board may enter and inspect vineyards.) may, at any time after given twenty-four hours notice of the intention so to do, enter into, and inspect at all reasonable hours of the day any vineyard, whether the same be in a distinct proclaimed under the Principal Act or not, and shall, in any case in which any vine in such vineyard has been found diseases, report forthwith the fact to the Minister.
