accomplish that object. The Buffalo & our Small Colonial vessells sailed with Col Paterson & his Small Establishment to Settle Port Dalrymple on the 15th October when the Equinox was passed. At the time I am writing this, we have had no returns from him but are in hourly expectation & hope the arrival of a vessell before this goes will enable me to give you some Account of the success of that Expedition. It is rather extraordinary that notwithstanding the different people who have hitherto been sent purposely to examine that place that no Two of them have agreed in their accounts however for Paterson I expect the Clearest information & also from Capt Kent which I am anxious to obtain before this vessell sails.  It is also sometime since I heard from Collins, but as I forward a letter from him to you when I received my last communication from there I must refer you to it. This goes in the Ship Lady Barlow belonging to a Merchant Mr Campbell who has been some years resident here on the part of a House at Calcutta, he proceeds in her himself with a cargo of Elephant oyl & Seal Skins for
