Note

       "Pyarra", I am not aware that I have ever seen

        this snake. Years ago I have heard it described by

        the Barnes boys of Dyraaba, Richmond river, as rare,

        bright copper coloured, swift in its movements,

        fierce and dangerous, but only of moderate size.

        It was greatly dreaded by the blacks.

       On Dyraaba run it was seen only in rocky

       country of sandstone formation.
