most graciously on the assembled crowds. We extracted ourselves from the mob eventually and had dinner in a quiet little Italian resturant, opposite Victoria Station. When we had satisfied our hunger we tubed to Liverpool Street and caught a train for Epping. We had to change at Laughton and wait for ½ an hour, but we occupied our selves by walking down the town to a refreshment shop where we had afternoon tea. The scenery hereabouts was magnificent. Green meadows, flower gardens & well clothed trees made the country seem a most desirable place. Our train came along eventually and we arrived at Epping a few minutes later. We walked along
