After evening Devotions I went back to the Presbytery with the Priest and after a long yarn there we went around to the Catholic Club, where several young people were dancing, playing billiards etc.
Friday 9th July 1915. Went ashore before lunch in the hope of getting a seat at the Guildhall where K of K Churchill, Carson[?] & several other notables were to address a great recruiting rally meeting. Two hours before they were timed to arrive the accommodation of the hall was taxed & when we walked
