Joes Birthday Good luck to him
Dolly left by 2 pm train for Brooklands Hotel as her Fathers home is not finished- Laura saw me off from Paddington to Devonport where I join my boat for Egypt
Dolly is a good Soldiers wife-
I am leaving my new Uniform Case with Mufti & nice things with Dolly & taking only service things with me to Egypt-
I wonder how long it is all going to last.

Went on board at 9 o'clock & all night long troops were stamping about (somewhere about 2000) odd details are on board, Scots, Welsh, Yeomanry, etc.
