[Thursday 4 May 1916]

Court again. Finished CM at noon & came Cairo with Judge Advocate worked it well to see Nowell & stay 2 days, till Court is Dissolved-
Nowell is thin but well has 3 months Holiday & goes to England lucky beggar he is a Colonel very like his old Father & a great row of Ribbons for Gippy decorations.
He wishes to be remembered to you all-
I have taken a couple of Photos which I will send you-
We have had a great yarn, but he tires easily-
