May Tuesday 1 1917

Slept in the Leave billet last night. Breakfast wash, hoist our packs get let out & board our tram at Docks for Wimeraux. A beautiful morning blue sky & bluer sea. sun glittering & countless shipping coming & going to & from Blighty. Tram skirts the sea coast. for 3 miles. so pretty. Arrive at 2nd A.G.H. report Orderly Room business, carry patients to &amp from X Ray theatre for rest of day. Wimeraux a vast hospital No less than 6 near each other an ideal spot for convalescents.
