of the Sultan of Malay. In the restaurant on the beautiful station we were again well attended to. Our carriages had in the meantime been fitted out as sleeping carriages. While at the station I spoke to an English lady. She spoke german and told me she had been a long time in Remagen. Judging by her talk she seemed to like the Germans. I asked her whether she knew where we were to be taken, She thought to St. Johns Island where there were already several german P of W. The train started off, she whished us a good journey, and then into the dark night.
The trip has been nice so far. The scenery was charming. We often travelled through tunnels for minutes . After 24 hour travel we arrived in Singapore in the morning.
