<p>[Page 97]</p><p>Tuesday, 4 September 1917<br />Air Raid 11.30 to 1 a.m. this night.<br />Went to dentist 9.30 till 10.30 thence into town. Went over Tower of London &amp; up the Monument. Then to Y.M. Hqrs., had lunch - had long walk round West End, called at Stewart Dawsons, Regent St. Left town 5.30 for Woodleigh. Also went to Art Gallery &amp; called at Clements &amp; Newlings.</p><p>Wednesday, 5 September 1917<br />Went into town. Saunders &amp; Shepherd, saw Mr S. &amp; Stewart Dawsons. Met Lottie - went taxi ride round Hyde Park, saw Buckingham Palace, Marlborough House &amp; West End. Then to His Majestys Theatre to &quot;Chu Chin Chow&quot; - Oscar Ashe etc - very pretty. Raid last night killed 11, wounded 62. Big thunderstorm.</p>
