<p>[Page 38]</p><p>Wednesday, 9 May 1917</p><p>Thursday, 10 May 1917<br />Left Liverpool 3AM. Embarked on SS Marathon at 6.30 and drew out into stream. Left harbour at 1pm. Had good view & was able to speak to family on wharf. The Encounter & a destroyer are accompanying us.</p>
