<p>[Page 81]</p><p>Friday, 3 August<br />Weather is still bad with muddy parade ground. Feeling rather sore in arm after inoculation but not as bad as after the last weeks injection. Nothing much doing. Had a nice letter from Aunt Ben to which I replied. Wet feet yesterday and today.</p><p>Saturday, 4 August 1917<br />Rather wet in morning during which we had a kit Inspection. In afternoon Jim Sully &amp; I went to the village of Shrewton a nice little place about 4 miles away. Had rather nice tea. Bought a loaf of bread - cost 11d &amp; returned to camp about 9 pm.</p>
