<p>[Page 74]</p><p>Friday, 20 July 1917<br />Entrained about 2 pm. Journey took us through Devon & Somerset. Country looked gloriously green. Went through Exeter. Arrived at Amesbury at 10.15 pm and marched 5 miles to Lark Hill. Arrived about 12. Bed 1.30 after having bully beef & biscuits & tea. Slept in tents in 'Isolation'.</p><p>Saturday, 21 July 1917<br />Saw Eddie Corbett. Reveille 7 am. Parade 10 am. Nothing much done in morning. In afternoon went over to village of Amesbery & saw old church building about 14th century. Looked through it. Had tea and went to concert in Buffet. Walked back about 8.15. Enjoyed it all immensely. Saw Stonehenge.</p>
