Friday 11
Morning one hours duty in trench afternoon fatigue work mate fingers blown off, night went out in No Mans land putting lime on dead men and gathering their personnel effects.

Saturday 12
Mate wounded by sniper in morning while sitting on paraphet, fatigue again in afternoon.  Given a bit of kid stakes for going out into No Mans land the night before.

Sunday 13
Morning guard as usual, Germans blew up mine close to our paraphet daylight shook everything, two miners blown to pieces another wounded, fatigue work afternoon for three hours.  Our miners blew up mine close to German trench late in afternoon.
