Monday 10
Well in Red Sea fairly cool large French steamer caught and passed us also passed some more vessels during day, nice and cool weather expected different.
Tuesday 11
Ship like Orsova caught and passed us, did bayonet drill morning, paraded afternoon with everything that was issued, looking forward to landing in Egypt and getting a square feed.
Wednesday 12
Passed several ships. Ship like Orsova passed, sea lovely and smooth, paid 10/6 and issued with a pay book. Hospital ship passed at night lit up also large steamer.
Thursday 13
Got up early expecting to see Suez but so far 6.30 not in sight, passed boat very close. Arrived Suez afternoon, 20 boats anchored, reported not to land till next day. Dust storm came up completely obliterated land. Tucker getting unbearable.
