Tuesday 25/8/14At the east side of the Dutch island "Timor" we take coal from "Markomania." We go to sea at 5pm.
Wednesday 26/8/14Nothing unusual.
Thursday 27/8/14At daybreak the island "Drampea" is in sight. Passing the north-west point we sight a steamer and soon after the Dutch ship of the line "Tromp". We throw anchor in the bay and exchange compliments with the Dutchmen. We leave the harbour soon after because dutch neutrality does not allow any steamer to coal more than once every 3 months, the time for coaling not exceeding 24 hours.
