At the east side of the Dutch island "Timor" we take coal from "Markomania." We go to sea at 5pm.

Thursday 27/8/14
At daybreak the island "Drampea" is in sight. Passing the north-west point we sight a steamer and soon after the Dutch ship of the line "Tromp". We throw anchor in the bay and exchange compliments with the Dutchmen. We leave the harbour soon after because dutch neutrality does not allow any steamer to coal more than once every 3 months, the time for coaling not exceeding 24 hours. "Tromp" takes us out of the harbour and goes back. During the
