Friday 14/8/14
Two colliers are coming along side and coaling begins. I receive instructions from 1st Paymaster to supervise the loading of provisions. I board "Scharnhorst" where I meet my comrade Hoennecke.
6 p.m. we go to sea again. Destination unknown.

Saturday 15/8/14
The emden separates itself from the squadron and is going south accompanied by the collier "Markomania". The other ships are probably going to India. As I understand "Emden" has a very important problem to solve. What it is will be seen later.

Sunday inpection and church. Heavy weather. Water from above and from all sides followed with
