remains of the £1000.  The Subject of this paragraph I leave to your kind offices, and you have my consent that I have no objection to stay here Two or Three Years longer.  Should that be the Case & you see no probability of my being relieved before that period, or that Government wish me to remain, I will in that case thank you to communicate it to my Friend Enderby who will call on you about a Month after you may have received this, with my son now 14 years old, who report tells me is a very fine Youth, but has unfortunately taken a liking to the Sea.  As Mr Enderby has directions to send him out to me in the event of my remaining I have also mentioned this Circumstance to Admiral Phillip.
