<p>[Page 89]</p><p>Sunday, 19 August 1917<br />In morning firstly &#39;stables&#39;. After breakfast went to church parade. In afternoon went to Durrington with Littlemore and then on to Amesbury where I met Jim and we went to church together which we enjoyed. Arrived back at 9 pm.</p><p>Monday, 20 August 1917<br />In morning we were inspected by the Duke of Connaught who is very like the late King Edward but has no beard. Was quite close to me and he spoke to several of the boys in a most friendly manner. In afternoon again put back into B Group of gunners. God must have some reason for the change.</p>
