<p>[Page 88]</p><p>Friday, 17 August 1917<br />Gun drill physical drill etc during day. Mail from Australia given out. Had letters from K, Lenna, Ethel, Mabel, Joyce J., Lance Cuttee, Mr Merriman and the bank. The latter say no money has arrived which is very unfortunate.</p><p>Saturday, 18 August 1917<br />Gun drill all the morning. In afternoon Jim Sully &amp; I went to Amesbury, The Lake, Great Durnford &amp; Woodford and had a most pleasant afternoon. Took several photos &amp; returned to camp about 9.30. Had letters from father &amp; Aunt Ben.</p>
