April 1916

Friday 21
Church parade morning, no drill afterwards but fell in and got summer issue and helmet and put on same.  Tent in lines quarintened for diptheria.

Saturday 22
Morning physical and squad drill, nothing afterwards, cricket match played.  Saw a couple of friends, wrote a letter to A. Owers.

Sunday 23
Fatigue duty all day rose at five and marched about all day doing practically nothing only growling.  Wrote letter to E. Cambell, Carinda, Walgett, N.S.W., Australia.
