No cases through last night. Stay up till 2 p.m. then call relief. Hunted "chats" for 1½ hours casualties heavy.-217. We have no chance of securing a change so have to endure the beggers. Go off duty at 9.30 a.m coming on again at 8 p m. Sleep & read & get up for meals during day. Pott's fracture through tonight Lucky man! He'll be out of this mess for some weeks at least
