youths, members of the Royal Flying Corps were in the instruction room undergoing a course in Wireless. We then went to the War Office in Whitehall where we saw a Mr Pletts a prominent Marconi man who is attached to the War Office. After having tea we returned to the Ship. Weather threatening rain.
Thursday 8th July 1915. Day dismal & threatening. Cleared up towards nightfall, went for a stroll around the district. Called in at RC Presby where I was made very welcome by the Priest. After a while we went over to the Church. Standing at the door was a soldier & his wife. The Priest exclaimed "How are you Johnny. I am very pleased.
