of it. On the morning of 23rd Nov we marched to the train & were put into cattle trucks holding 32 & 35 men with our rations & all gear. It took us about thirty-eight hours to get to our destination We arrived at night time & then got out of the trucks all of us as stiff as crutches & marched about seven miles to Billets in a village named Outsetan We had a couple of days spell & on 27th Nov we moved on in Motor Lorries right through Armentiers to the mouth of the communication trenches Taking with us full pack & blankets & we just got settled in our fire-bays
