Very great Thunderstorm

F½. Rain afternoon

Friday, 6 January 1922

There is a big row in the morning. I get a fearful shock at dinner-time when she tells me about it. I am shocked every time I think of it. Nothing doing 'till 5 pm and I am nearly distracted. Nothing doing after tea. I am walking Home, thinking of Someone & smiling when a nice-looking girl smiles ever so nicely. I get Home & pack bag & do odd jobs to while away the time. My [indecipherable] comes home & has more troubles to tell me even when I'm in bed. I still get hot & cold when I think of what I was told.
