The Government in Australia seem to be pretty liberal with the money to returned soldiers. There are different yarns going about as to how much we are going to get. But I recond out that with deferred pay and the furlough business I ought to get somewhere between 70 or 80 quid, which wont be too bad at all for a start, but I hope the drought will have well & truly broken beforeĀ I do start.
It seems as if it will be a pretty expensive item to get rigged out in civvy clothes again though. But it will be good for all that! You'ld laugh to see me now. I'm in hospital blues, you know! and they are very good clothes as far as they go, but that is the trouble - the bottom of the trusers wont come anywhere near my boots, and if I try letting them down at all a wide
