some of them were broken by the bomb and a good part of the train was still burning; but we found 12 guns of all sizes, from naval guns down to whiz-bangs, a big store of ammunition, four cases of Hun bombs, and M.G. machine guns scattered every where; so many that we never bothered to count them at all, and the ground everywhere was littered with general war equipment of every description.

On our way out to this place we found that the telegraph line had been badly smashed down, and we had not time to mend it; at which I was rather glad because it gave me time to poke round and take a few photos in the few minutes we stayed there.
