About eight miles out we came on a big mob of Arabs, and some of their leaders came full gallop at us with drawn swords while their men behind started firing their rifles off. We were not amused! However we soon found they were only doing it to welcome us, although a lot of their bullets went mighty close to us, so we rode on and found that 11 trucks had been left standing on the line there, and some of them were full of grain, which the arabs were lifting; so we let them carry on and just had a look through them and found two field guns in one truck, which we labled "1st Regt" for this war museum business. Then we rode on and had a few more shots fired us from the men the arabs
